Supporting Parks Nationwide with Craft Beer

To celebrate the unique heritage of California’s State Parks and America’s National Parks, Anchor Brewing Company has partnered with the National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA) and the California State Parks Foundation (CSPF) to support their efforts to conserve and enrich the natural beauty and history of parks nationwide. Through these two unique partnerships, a portion of proceeds from sales of Anchor California Lager helps to support conservation projects in parks across the country.

Anchor’s partnership with CSPF was launched in February of 2013 with the release of Anchor California Lager®. California’s state parks system, Anchor’s history, and California’s first genuine lager were all born in the second half of the 19th century, and as a tribute to our shared history and traditions, a partnership seemed natural to us.

As part of these partnerships, Anchor volunteer days have supported conservation projects at Fort Ross, Half Moon Bay, and China Camp State Parks, with more to come!

In 2014, we expanded our commitment to supporting parks beyond California and entered into our first year as a proud partner of the NPCA, which has allowed us to help provide awareness, support, and goodwill toward the parks system nationwide. We are happy to be extending both of these partnerships into 2015, and it is our collective hope that both relationships will help to inspire others to preserve and enjoy our country’s natural treasures in the Golden State and beyond, and raise an Anchor to their innate beauty. Cheers!
