The Bands

6-8pm – Curt Yagi and The People Standing Behind Me

The 2008 Best of the Bay Singer Songwriter (SF Bay Guardian) has his song “Sweep Me” included on the very popular KFOG Local Scene 8 CD in the Bay Area.

Curt and his full band, The People Standing Behind Me, are always-engaging to the crowd and bring a blend of happy acoustic rock with a touch of funk for flavor.

People keep comparing him to other artists, but I think he just sounds like Curt Yagi, and that is plenty good enough. This is one excellent singer and songwriter.

Ben Fong-Torres, former Senior Editor, Rolling Stone

East Crescent BandMore than 100 years of combined musical experience.

Reggae lead with heavy beats and bass complimented with jazzy riffs.

This Month’s Charity

2015-04 CFC Banner ShortA portion of the proceeds from each pint sold at Beer Friday goes to a different charity every month through our “Cheers! for Charity” program.

The Marine Science Institute was founded in 1970, around the time that the issue of water resources was becoming a major concern for many Bay Area inhabitants. The Institute’s philosophy was founded on the idea that putting students in direct physical contact with their local bay environment will help cultivate their natural sense of curiosity while enriching their understanding of science and fostering a responsibility to protect their environment.
